The City of Ione Fire Department invite you to the 25th Anniversary Memorial and Remembrance Service taking place on Friday, September 11th at 8 a.m. The Honor Guards from the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as the Honor Guard of the City of Ione Fire Department will kick-off the short service, followed by the sounding of the Emergency horn and ringing of the bell for those that made the ultimate sacrifice. Never forget!
Live music from The Kells at Burke Family Restaurant & Bar on Main Street, 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Happy hour runs 4:00 to 6:00 PM beforehand. Great food, cold drinks, good times.
Scarecrow Contest, Chalk the Walk, Pumpkin Decorating and a Pumpkin Pie Baking Contest, all along Main Street. Check-in for the scarecrow, chalk and pumpkin decorating contests is at 9AM with awards at 1:30 PM. Pie contest check-in is at 11AM

Blue Stone Public House is marking three years with nine nights of live music across October: the 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 30th. Bring your friends, grab some dinner and help them celebrate. For the full schedule and bands, see the flyer below.
The yearly walkthrough haunted house inside the historic castle, on six nights only: October 9 and 10, 16 and 17, and 23 and 24. All ages. General admission $35, VIP FastPass $50 to skip the long line. Tickets go on sale September 9 at 9:00 AM. Questions about tickets: ticketing@
A historic stroll through Preston Castle set in the early 1900s. Getting in at the gate is free, which includes Santa, the gift shop and the craft fair in the Visitor Center. A ticket is needed for the self-guided castle tour, about an hour and a half. Food from Andy's Crossover Kitchen. Tour tickets go on sale in November.
